I. OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to complain about

faulty goods in a shop using vocabulary for gadgets and phrases for making complaints.

1. Knowledge:

Vocabulary: Gadgets; parts of gadgets

Exam topic: Mentioning all the points in a guided conversation task

Listening: A candidate acting out a role-play between a shop assistant and a customer returning a faulty gadget

Speaking: A role-play between a shop assistant and a customer returning a faulty gadget

2. Ability:

- Main skills:Speaking and Listening skills

- Sub skills:Reading and Writing skills

3. Quality:

- Have a positive attitude in English language learning so that they can participate enthusiastically in all classroom activities, especially with the topic conducted by the teacher.

- Know how to make a complaint about faulty goods using vocabulary for gadgets and phrases.

III. PROCEDURES:

A. Warm-up (5’)

a) Objective: Introduce the new lesson and set the scene for students to acquire a new language; get students' attention at the beginning of the class by utilizing enjoyable as well as engaging them in the steps that followed.

b) Content: Exercise 1, mini game.

c) Outcomes: Students can gain more reasons that causing complaints about faulty goods in shops.

d) Competence: communication, guessing.

DISCUSSION (T-Ss/ S-S) (2’) Exercise 1 page 102 Focuses attention on the photo and asks students to answer the question. Elicit situations that one has to take faulty goods back to the shop.	Pay attention to the photo, guess and answer the question.
LEAD-IN. (1’) (T- Ss/ S – S/ Indiv) Introduces the lesson with warm-up questions. Asks: “How can gadgets go wrong?” Elicits answers. Leads-in to Section 1.	Pay attention to the screen while listening to the teacher. Volunteer to answer the questions freely in a complete structure and give an example. Listen to the teacher’s comments Open Student’s Book.

B. New Lesson (35’)

Activity 1: Presentation (15’)

a) Objective: Students learns commons vocabulary and speaking strategy.

b) Content: Exercise 2- 4, mini game.

Vocabulary:digital camera, DVD player, e-book reader, games console, tablet, camcorder, solar-powered battery charge, etc.

c) Outcomes: Students can understand four important points when making a complaint.

d) Competence: communication, critical thinking, listening.

e) Organization of the activity:
