I. OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

1. Knowledge:

- Vocabulary: abseiling, jet-skiing, orienteering, quad biking

- review some outdoor activities, know some email phrases, write an invitation and a reply

2. Ability:

- main skills: reading and writing skills

- sub skills: listening and speaking skills

- write an invitation to a party

3. Quality:

- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they can participate enthusiastically in all classroom activities, especially with the topic conducted by the teacher

- keen on studying English

III. PROCEDURES:

A. Warm-up (5’)

a) Objective: Introduce the new lesson and set the scene for Ss to acquire new language; get students' attention at the beginning of the class by means of enjoyable and short activities as well as to engage them in the steps that followed.

b) Content: Game ‘Choosing Right Rocket’ – Outdoor activities

c) Outcomes: Students can gain more confidence and interest in the lesson.

Game ‘Choosing Right Rocket’

Divide class into groups. Students look at the photo in each question and choose the correct answer. If students get it correct, they will hear the sound ‘Correct’. If student don’t get it, the wrong rocket will disappear.

Encourage students to play.

Play in groups and choose the correct answers for the photos.

Volunteer to play. With one correct answer, that group can get bonus.
