I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to:

Step 3: Check the answers by asking “Tick or cross?”. When pupils answer correctly, confirm by saying “tick/cross”. |

5. FUN CORNER AND WRAP-UP (5 minutes)
* Option 1/ Game: “Hamster” (PPT)
- Tell pupils that they are going to look at the pictures, read the words and choose the correct answers.
- Pupils work individually with the mini board.
- Show a picture and 8 options of words describing the picture.
- Pupils have to write the word they think is the correct answer on their mini-board, raise the board and say the word aloud.
Example: - Teacher shows a picture of “brother” – Pupils have to write “1. brother” and shout “brother”.
Praise pupils who do the task well.
* Option 2/ Game: “Slap the board”
- Prepare some pictures of the words of the letters sh and t (tent, teapot, blanket, shirts, shoes, shorts).
- Place these pictures on the board.
- Divide the class into two groups. Each group has six pupils.
- Have pupils play one, two, and three to find out which group goes first.
- The teacher says a word or invites a pupil to say a word. Have two pupils of two groups run to slap that correct word on the board.
- If they slap the correct words, they will get points for their groups.
- Continue the game until all the pictures are used.
- The group with more points is the winner.
Lesson 3 - Period 3
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to:

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 for fifteen (f _ _ _ _ _ _), eighteen (e _ _ _ _ _ _ _), shorts (sh _ _ _ _), sister (s _ _ _ _ _) and teapot (t _ _ _ _ _). Step 4: Say “Write the words.” and allow pupils time to complete the activity. Step 5: Check answers by inviting six pupils to come to the front and complete the words shirts, fifteen, eighteen, shorts, sister and teapot on the board. |

5. FUN CORNER AND WRAP-UP (5 minutes)
* Option 1/ Game: “Zoom it in!” (PPT)
- Prepare some pictures (shirts, shorts, shoes, tent, teapot, blanket) and zoom them in.
- Show a zoomed picture.
- Ask pupils to guess and say the name of the picture.
- Continue the game until all the pictures are used.
* Option 2/ Game: “Pass the card!”
- Use pictures (shirts, shorts, shoes, tent, teapot, blanket).
- Divide the class into two teams. Ask pupils from each team to stand in a line.
- Give the first pupil of each team a picture and say “Go.”
- Ask pupils to pass that picture to another one.
- Have the last pupil race to hand their picture to the teacher and say a word suitable for that picture. Give the first team to name their picture correctly one point.
- The team that gets more points wins. Praise the winner.
