A. LÝ THUYẾT

Từ để hỏi (when,where, how, who, whom, whose, what, which) và whether đứng trước To-infinitive.

Mỗi cặp câu ví dụ có nghĩa giống nhau. 

Chú ý: 

(Wh) + to-Infinitive = should / can / could+ V

Ví dụ:

 I don't know what I should do.

Tôi không biết nên làm gì.

I don't know what to do.

Sam can't decide whether she should go or stay home.

Sam không thể quyết định sẽ đi hay ở nhà.

Sam can't decide whether to go or (to) stay home.

Please tell me how I can get to the bus station.

Vui lòng chỉ cho tôi làm thế nào để đi đến trạm xe buýt.

Please tell me how to get to the bus station.

Ha told us where we could find it.

Hà nói cho chúng tôi nơi để kiếm cái đó.

Ha told us where to find it.

B. BÀI TẬP VẬN DỤNG

Ex 1: Fill in the Blanks

Fill in the blanks with when, where, what, or how to complete the sentences.

1.I have so many ingredients, but I don't know___to make!

2.This city is so expensive. I don't know___to live.

3.I want to marry my girlfriend, but I'm not sure___to propose.

4.Help! My room is infested with ants. I don't know___to do!

5.Help me decide___  to go on vacation.

6.Do you know___  to do if you are stung by a bee?

7.My husband and I are so busy these days. We don't know___  to celebrate our anniversary.

Ex2: Rewrite the following sentences using question words+ to- infinitives

1. We don't know where we should put the sofa.

5.Could you tell me where I can find a good hotel?

6. We must find out what we are to do next.

7.A good dictionary tells you how you should pronounce the words.
