THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The Great Wall of China, which is said to be visible from the moon, winds up and down across deserts, grasslands and mountains of 5 provinces. It is considered as one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world thanks to its magnificence and significance. In 1987, the Great Wall was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO.

The Great Wall as we see today was mostly built during the Ming Dynasty for defence purposes. It started in 1368 and took 200 years to complete. Some parts of the wall are much older and goes back to around 200 B.C. It stretches for about 6,000km from east to west. The wall is about 11 meters high and a stone roadway runs along the top of it.

The Great Wall is a symbol of the Chinese nation throughout history. If you prefer to see the wall in a relatively natural state, you'd better go to northwest of Beijing. This part of the wall is the best choice because it is still in original state. A visit to the Great Wall will certainly bring tourists great excitement in each step of the wall.

Vạn Lý Trường Thành, được cho là có thể nhìn thấy từ mặt trăng, trải dài qua sa mạc, đồng cỏ và núi của 5 tỉnh. Nó được coi là một trong những kỳ quan nhân tạo vĩ đại nhất trên thế giới nhờ vào sự lộng lẫy và nguy nga của nó. Năm 1987, Vạn Lý Trường Thành được UNESCO công nhận là di sản thế giới.

Vạn Lý Trường Thành như chúng ta thấy ngày nay chủ yếu được xây dựng trong thời nhà Minh vì mục đích quốc phòng. Nó bắt đầu vào năm 1368 và mất 200 năm để hoàn thành. Một số phần của bức tường cũ hơn nhiều và được xây lại khoảng 200 trước công nguyên. Nó trải dài khoảng 6.000km từ đông sang tây. Bức tường cao khoảng 11 mét và một con đường bằng đá chạy dọc theo đỉnh của nó.

Vạn Lý Trường Thành là biểu tượng của quốc gia Trung Quốc trong suốt lịch sử. Nếu bạn muốn nhìn thấy bức tường này ở một trạng thái khá tự nhiên, bạn nên đến phía tây bắc của Bắc Kinh.
