In modern society, with the indispensable role of the Internet, social networks like Facebook, Zalo, Google Plus, and so on are becoming increasingly popular. However, besides the advantages, they also have many disadvantages. Regarding the benefits, they are means of connecting people, sharing information and advertising. By making it possible to communicate regardless of distance, social networking can considerably bring people closer to one another. Moreover, it is obvious that these networks are useful for people to share what they know and collect the information they need from others. Social networks also help brands to spread their images and introduce their products to customers through social marketing. When it comes to disadvantages, social networking is probably not only time-consuming but also violating humans’ privacy. Because of their attraction, social networks are addictive and can make people waste a lot of time on them. Besides, as people’s personal information is shared on these networks, it is accessible by everyone and can lead to violation of privacy. In conclusion, it is advisable for users to consider both pros and cons of social networks to optimally exploit them.

Bằng cách cho phép giao tiếp bất kể khoảng cách, mạng xã hội có thể mang mọi người đến gần nhau hơn một cách đáng kể. Hơn nữa, rõ ràng là các mạng này rất hữu ích để mọi người chia sẻ những gì họ biết và thu thập thông tin họ cần từ những người khác. Mạng xã hội còn giúp các thương hiệu lan tỏa hình ảnh, giới thiệu sản phẩm đến khách hàng thông qua tiếp thị xã hội. Nói về nhược điểm, mạng xã hội có lẽ không chỉ tốn thời gian mà còn vi phạm quyền riêng tư của con người. Vì sự hấp dẫn của chúng, mạng xã hội gây nghiện và có thể khiến mọi người lãng phí nhiều thời gian cho chúng. Bên cạnh đó, vì thông tin cá nhân của mọi người được chia sẻ trên các mạng này nên mọi người đều có thể truy cập được và có thể dẫn đến vi phạm quyền riêng tư. Tóm lại, người dùng nên cân nhắc cả ưu và nhược điểm của mạng xã hội để khai thác chúng một cách tối ưu.
