Furthermore, cheaper prices are a big advantage of buying online products. On special occasions these online markets supply compulsive shoppers heaps of promo codes, helping them enjoy the feeling of obtaining items at reduced prices. Another outstanding feature of e-commerce websites attracting new buyers every day is its convenience. With a few mouse clicks at home, customers can own everything available on e-commerce websites.           C. Because they can buy brand-name items free of charge with them.

5. How convenient is online shopping?

Read the following passage. Decide if the statements are True (T) or False (F).

Future cities

What do you imagine cities will be like in the future? Will we have smart buildings and flying cars? Or robots that will pick up our rubbish? What about schools? Will we still travel to school or will we study online from home? Perhaps all the buildings and roads will be underground and we’ll just have parks and cycle lanes above.

Maybe ... or maybe not, but what we do know is that in the future, cities are going to have more and more people living in them. More than half the world’s people already live in cities, and by 2050, cities will become home to about 6.5 billion people. That’s a lot of people and very little space! More people means that we’re going to have more pollution, traffic and noise. It also means that we’ll need more homes, schools, hospitals, jobs and transport. We’ll need more resources, like water and energy, and more ways to grow food too. Oh, and more parks to play in!

Many cities are already planning for the future. For example, Bristol is a cycling city in England. You can hire a bike (instead of taking a car or bus) and ride in cycle lanes which are separated from the traffic. In Singapore, people are looking ‘up’ to grow food! To save space, they grow vegetables in lots of layers in special tall buildings, called ‘vertical farms’. And in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, there are ‘floating houses’ built on water instead of on land! What do you think city life will be like in the future?

Question 28. Cities are going to have more people in the future.

Question 29. Cities will need fewer buildings in the future.

Question 30. Resources will be less important in the future.

Question 31. Some cities are trying new things to plan for the future.

Read the text about past explanations for UFOs. Write T (true), F (false) or DS (doesn’t say).

PAST EXPLANATION for UFOS

An unidentified flying object, or UFO, is anything in the sky that the person who sees it cannot explain. Some people believe UFOs are alien spacecraft. However, most scientists believe that it can be easier to explain UFOs. A UFO has different descriptions. It can take the form of a disk, triangle or even an egg. After a sighting of a disk-shaped UFO in the 1940s, the term "flying saucer" became popular. It soon became fashionable to call all UFOs flying saucers. Nowadays, there are records of thousands of UFO sightings. These are photographs of UFOs and conversations with the people who saw UFOs. In the 1950s, a government asked a group of scientists to study hundreds of sightings. However, most sightings were just space objects like stars, planets or meteors. A lot of other sightings were only aircraft, birds or hot gases. However, such things didn't stop people from reporting UFOs. By the mid-1960s, there were even more sightings of UFOs than ever. People also found that most UFO or alien sightings happened in bad weather. But governments around the world still believed that UFOs were unreal. Other scientists agreed. But it was hard to explain why UFOs still appeared. Nowadays, researchers believe that UFOs might be visitors from space.
